Constellium to supply Airware products to Blue Origin
Constellium has signed a multi-year contract with Blue Origin to support their launch vehicle programmes.
Blue Origin is an American privately-funded aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services company. This contract deepens the successful collaboration between the two companies for the supply of high-performance Airware products. Under this agreement, Constellium is to supply Airware aluminium plates and sheets for Blue Origin’s massive orbital rocket, New Glenn. The contract “helps demonstrate our know-how and expertise to provide tailored products and spurs our ambition to pursue growth in servicing our partners in the space industry,” says Ingrid Joerg, president of Constellium’s Aerospace and Transportation business. Constellium will supply Blue Origin with Airware plates and sheets from its manufacturing plants at Issoire in France, and Ravenswood in West Virginia, United States.
Constellium partnered with Chanel Fragrance & Beauty and g.pivaudran to introduce a packaging including recycled aluminium for Chanel's mascara line "Le Volume."
Constellium’s Ravenswood plant in West Virginia was selected by the US Department of Energy (DoE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations to begin award negotiations for up to USD75m.
Amag Austria Metall, Ranshofen, has concluded what it claims is the largest multi-year contract in its history with Audi.
